Srinagar, March 27, 2026 : National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Friday called for an immediate end to the ongoing conflict in West Asia, stressing the need for peace across the globe.
Speaking to reporters after offering Friday prayers at the revered Hazratbal Shrine, Abdullah expressed concern over the prevailing war-like situation.
“We are in a war situation. We all pray that God ends this war and peace prevails so that we all can live in peace,” he said.
Call for Global Responsibility
Abdullah noted that resolving the conflict lies largely in the hands of “big powers,” while ordinary people can only hope and pray for peace to prevail.
Backing CM’s Stand
He also endorsed the recent appeal made by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to use India’s influence in helping end the conflict in the interest of humanity.
Message of Peace
The NC leader emphasized that global stability and human well-being depend on an end to conflicts, urging collective efforts toward restoring peace in the region.
