Poonch, August 8, 2025 : One person was died and three others were injured in a road accident involving two vehicles near the Bhata Dhurian Nar forest area in Poonch district on Friday afternoon.
According to officials, the collision between an Ertiga and a Baleno occurred around 3:10 PM. All four occupants sustained injuries and were immediately shifted to the Army Hospital in Bhimber Gali (BG).
One of the injured, Amrit Kumar, son of Jaghat Ram, succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The remaining three—Nilam Kumar, wife of Amrit Raina; Ansh Sharma, son of Jeet Kumar; and Ajay Kumar—were later referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri for advanced medical care. All injured individuals are residents of Sunderbani.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation is underway.
