Jammu, November 27, 2025 : Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday arrested a 19-year-old youth for his alleged involvement in terror-linked activities, with initial investigations pointing to online radicalisation and possible plans to execute a terror act.
Teen From Reasi, Living in Bathindi, Emerges as Key Suspect
According to officials, the accused—originally a resident of Reasi district and currently living in Bathindi—has surfaced as an important suspect in an ongoing counter-terror investigation.
A police spokesperson confirmed:
“An FIR No. 331/2025 under Section 113(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort.”
Online Radicalisation & Foreign Contacts Under Lens
Preliminary findings indicate that the teenager was allegedly radicalised through online platforms and had been in contact with phone numbers traced to Pakistan and other foreign countries.
Authorities believe he was planning a potential terror strike, although the nature and target of the suspected plot are still being probed.
Digital Devices Seized for Deep Forensic Analysis
Police have confiscated the youth’s digital devices, including his mobile phone, which are now undergoing a detailed forensic examination to uncover:
