Srinagar, Sep 11, 2025 : National Conference president Farooq Abdullah blamed Jammu & Kashmir Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha for the unrest in Doda, following the arrest of MLA Mehraj Malik under the Public Safety Act.
“The law and order machinery is under the L-G’s control; he shall be responsible for what is happening in Doda,” Abdullah told reporters in Baramulla.
Protests erupted across the Chenab region after Malik’s detention and transfer to Kathua jail on Monday. Abdullah added that convening a special legislative assembly session is at the discretion of the Speaker.
