Srinagar, Sep 11, 2025 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a high-level meeting today to review preparations for the upcoming ‘Sewa Parv’, scheduled from 17th September to 2nd October 2025 across Jammu & Kashmir.
Sinha emphasized that the celebrations must focus on meaningful outcomes rather than symbolic gestures, promoting Public Service, Community Participation, and Inclusive Governance. He directed departments to set realistic targets, fill gaps in flagship scheme coverage, and monitor progress through a dedicated digital portal.
Key activities highlighted include drug de-addiction drives, disaster management awareness, grievance redressal camps, hygiene promotion, environmental action, and welfare programs for the elderly, poor, and specially-abled. Special focus will also be given to educating students about civic duties through Youth Parliament sessions, essay and debate competitions on Mahatma Gandhi, and health empowerment under the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’.
The LG stressed that Sewa Parv aims to ensure every voice is heard and every section of society benefits from development initiatives.
