Srinagar, September 16, 2025 : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting to review network coverage and the expansion of telecom services across Jammu and Kashmir.
Omar Abdullah emphasized the urgent need to strengthen connectivity to bridge communication gaps, especially in remote and underserved areas of the Union Territory.
He underlined that robust telecom infrastructure is crucial for effective governance, emergency services, education, and economic development. The Chief Minister directed officials to fast-track the expansion of telecom networks to ensure improved services reach every corner of the region at the earliest.
As digital connectivity becomes increasingly essential for public services and economic activities, the government aims to ensure uninterrupted and reliable telecom access for all citizens.
