New Delhi, September 20, 2025 : Legendary actor Mohanlal has been selected for the Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2023, the highest honour in Indian cinema, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting announced today.
The award will be presented at the 71st National Film Awards on September 23, 2025.
Mohanlal’s illustrious career spans over four decades, with acclaimed performances across Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi films. He has previously been honoured with the Padma Shri (2001) and Padma Bhushan (2019).
The Ministry lauded his “unmatched talent, versatility, and relentless hard work that set a golden standard in Indian film history.”
On the work front, Mohanlal will next be seen in Nanda Kishore’s Vrusshabha.
