Jammu, September 26, 2025 : The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Jammu & Kashmir has produced a chargesheet in FIR No. 18/2014 PS VOJ (now ACB) before the Court of Special Judge, Anti-Corruption, Jammu. The case was registered under Section 5(1)(d) r/w Section 5(2) of J&K Prevention of Corruption Act, Svt. 2006, and Section 120-B RPC.
The chargesheet has been filed against:

Vinod Sharma, Ex-Vice Chairman, JDA

Mamta Sharma, wife of Vinod Sharma

Ghany Sham, then Naib Tehsildar, JDA (retired & deceased)

Rishi Kumar, then Patwari, JDA (retired & deceased)
Case Background:
The case originated from a verification conducted by the then Vigilance Organization (now ACB) into allegations of illegal allotment of Plot No. 42, Sector-1A, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu and unauthorized possession of 4,300 sq. ft. of adjoining land by Mamta Sharma, wife of the then Vice Chairman, JDA.
Investigations revealed that the accused, in connivance with JDA officials, abused their official positions to facilitate the illegal allotment and encroachment.
The Court has fixed December 15, 2025, as the next date of hearing in the matter.
