Srinagar, September 26, 2025 : Following a detailed security review and discussions in the Unified Headquarters (UHQ) meeting, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday announced the reopening of 12 tourist destinations across Jammu & Kashmir.
These locations were temporarily closed as a precautionary measure after the heinous Pahalgam terror attack on tourists on April 22.
Tourist Spots to Reopen from Sept 29:
🔹 Kashmir Division – Aru Valley, Rafting Point Yanner, Akkad Park, Padshahi Park Bijbehara, Dara Shikoh Garden (Anantnag), Kaman Post, Eco-Park Khadniyar (Baramulla)
🔹 Jammu Division – Dagan Top (Ramban), Dhaggar (Kathua), Chinkah (Reasi), Shiv Cave (Salal, Reasi), Padri (Doda)
The move is expected to give a major boost to tourism and reassure travelers of safe and secure facilities across the Union Territory.
