Srinagar, October 3, 2025 : In a significant gesture of support for flood relief, Jammu and Kashmir Bank contributed ₹4.10 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to assist families affected by the recent floods in the Union Territory.
The cheque was handed over by Amitava Chatterjee, Managing Director & CEO of J&K Bank, along with members of the Board of Directors, to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at the Civil Secretariat.
Expressing his appreciation, the Chief Minister lauded the contribution, saying that such solidarity from institutions reflects the collective resolve to stand by the people during times of distress. He noted that the fund will play a crucial role in relief and rehabilitation efforts, helping to ease the hardships faced by flood-affected families.
CM Abdullah also thanked the bank’s management and employees, highlighting that J&K Bank has consistently demonstrated its commitment to community welfare, and this contribution reaffirms its deep sense of responsibility towards the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
