Jammu, October 5, 2025 : In view of the heavy to very heavy rainfall warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has ordered the closure of all government and private schools across the Jammu Division for two days — October 6 (Monday) and October 7 (Tuesday).

The order, issued by Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary (JKAS), Director School Education Jammu, stated that the decision has been taken to ensure the safety and security of students and staff.

“All Government and Private Schools across Jammu Division shall remain closed on 06-10-2025 and 07-10-2025,” the directive reads.

The DSEJ also noted that further updates will be shared depending on the evolving weather conditions.
