In the view of upcoming 8 th international yoga day yoga championship was conducted at indoor sports stadium samba on 18/ 6/22 organised by District administration Samba in collaboration with Directorate of Ayush ,Samba and J&K sports council. The program was inaugurated by District Nodal officer ayush Dr Vikram Jamwal,District Manager J&K sports council Mr Baljinder Singh ji And Dr Geeta NSS program officer from Govt Degree College Samba. The competition was divided into 3 categories 1. Junior category under 16 yr . 2. Middle category 16 to 30 yr. 3 . Senior category above 30 yr. all categories are for men and women both. Different yoga asans were performed by participants under different categories. Worthy Deputy commissioner Smt Anuradha Gupta ji graced the event by her presence and also distributed the prizes among all categories appreciating their effort for the upcoming yoga day. She concluded the function with her blessing words for district ayush department samba for conducting such type of events in view of upcoming international yoga day . In the end District nodal ayush officer extended his vote of thanks to everyone followed by refreshments to all the participants. Total participation -153
