Jammu, November 6, 2025 : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday approved a Used Water Management Project, featuring a ₹19.99 crore Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) for Ganderbal town to ensure effective wastewater treatment, cleaner rivers, and better public health outcomes.
The J&K Government also cleared the Chief Minister’s Scheme for Heritage Courses under the Skill Development Department, aimed at reviving seven traditional crafts across 25 ITIs and polytechnics, with a total intake capacity of 500 students.
The initiative includes stipends for trainees and honorariums for instructors, marking a significant push toward preserving heritage and fostering skill-based livelihoods.
