Jammu, November 6, 2025 : Hundreds of daily wagers and ASHA workers under the banner of All Daily Wagers J&K Sangarsh Samiti on Thursday marched towards Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s residence in Jammu, demanding regularisation, minimum wages, and release of pending dues.
Led by Sunny Kant Chib, protesters from multiple departments were stopped by police at Shaheedi Chowk, where Chib was detained.
Women workers then launched a sit-in protest, seeking a meeting with the CM to press for their “long-pending genuine demands.”
