JAMMU, November 11, 2025 : Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, today chaired a meeting to review the progress of the ongoing restoration and development projects at the Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC); Executive Director, Mubarak Mandi Jammu Heritage Society; Director, Archives; SSP Jammu; Chief Engineer, PW(R&B); Superintending Engineer, PWD; and representatives from NHLML and JK Cable Car Corporation Ltd.
During the review, the Divisional Commissioner took stock of the multilevel parking facility being developed within the complex and the progress of the vertical lift project connecting Peerkho to Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex.
He directed the concerned authorities to expedite the tendering process for the proposed flyover bridge that will link Circular Road near Jullaka Mohalla to the heritage site, enhancing public accessibility and connectivity.
The Divisional Commissioner also reviewed the status of the ongoing conservation works, including the Darbar Hall, Dogra Art Museum, Raja Ram Singh Palace, Raja Amar Singh Palace, and Central Courtyard, among other heritage structures.
Kumar stressed the need for timely completion of all ongoing projects, calling for better coordination among departments and executing agencies to preserve the grandeur of the Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex — a symbol of Jammu’s rich cultural legacy.
