Srinagar, November 11, 2025 : A day after the car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort that claimed twelve lives, police on Tuesday launched extensive vehicle checking drives across the Kashmir Valley as part of heightened security measures.
According to a police spokesperson, special checking points were set up along national highways and key arterial routes in Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam, Baramulla, Ganderbal, and Shopian districts.
He said temporary checkpoints were established at strategic locations to monitor the movement of suspicious vehicles and persons. Several vehicles were seized for lack of valid documents during the drive.
The spokesperson added that intensified checking is part of a preventive security strategy to ensure peace and stability across the region in the aftermath of the Delhi incident.
