Srinagar, December 7, 2025 : In a major move to strengthen internal security and ensure strict regulatory compliance, Srinagar Police on Sunday conducted extensive surprise inspections of medical shops, chemists, and pharmacies across the city as part of a stepped-up vigilance and accountability drive.
According to an official statement, the inspections were carried out to prevent misuse of medical establishments for the illegal storage of hazardous materials, unlawful activities, and other security-related threats, while also promoting transparency within health institutions.
Police teams thoroughly checked medicines, medical equipment, cash registers, and statutory records at the inspected premises. Shop owners were strictly directed to maintain proper safety protocols and mandatory documentation.
