JAMMU, January 25, 2026 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday extended heartfelt congratulations to the officers and personnel of the Jammu and Kashmir Police who have been honoured with the Medal for Gallantry, the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, and the Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Republic Day 2026.
In a message shared on X, the Lieutenant Governor also congratulated the personnel of the Jammu and Kashmir Correctional Service who were awarded the Medal for Meritorious Service. He said the nation holds the courage, dedication and professionalism of the J&K Police in the highest esteem and lauded their unwavering commitment to safeguarding public order and national security.
LG Sinha said the valour, integrity and selfless service of the police force continue to be a source of pride for the country. He expressed confidence that their exemplary conduct and sense of duty would inspire future generations to serve the nation with honour and dedication.
