Srinagar, February 7, 2026 : The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Kashmir on Saturday conducted simultaneous searches at two residences of a serving Tehsildar in connection with an ongoing investigation, official sources said.
An ACB team led by a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), assisted by personnel from concerned police stations, carried out searches at the residence of Maeen Azhar Kakroo, a resident of Baramulla, presently staying at Rose Avenue Colony, HMT Zainakote, Srinagar.
Sources said Kakroo is currently posted as Tehsildar, Khansahab in Budgam district. The official was reportedly not present at his Srinagar residence at the time of the raid.
In a parallel action, simultaneous searches were also conducted at his native place in Baramulla district, as part of the same investigation.
Officials have not disclosed the exact nature of the case so far. However, they confirmed that the searches are linked to an ongoing ACB probe.
Further investigation is underway, sources added.
