Jammu, March 25, 2026 : The Jammu and Kashmir government has deputed 25 officers and officials as Haj Inspectors for Haj 2026 to assist pilgrims from the Union Territory during the annual pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
The officials were selected by the Haj Committee of India and will be temporarily posted at the Consulate General of India Jeddah.
According to the official order, these officers will perform duties as State Haj Inspectors, ensuring coordination, facilitation, and support services for pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir throughout the pilgrimage period.
Their responsibilities will include assisting with accommodation, transport, health-related needs, and overall management to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for devotees undertaking the sacred journey.
The move is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen administrative support for Haj pilgrims and enhance the overall pilgrimage experience through better coordination and on-ground assistance.
