Jammu, March 27, 2026 : In a major step towards transparency and modernization, the Northern Railway’s Jammu Division has introduced a fully biometric sign-on and sign-off system across all Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) lobbies.
Where the System is Implemented
The new system has been installed at key railway stations, including:
- Jammu
- Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra
- Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan Station
- Srinagar
- Pathankot

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal said the initiative is aimed at enhancing accountability and operational efficiency.
“The system will bring complete transparency and strengthen passenger services by ensuring real-time staff availability,” he noted.
