BANDIPORA, April 13, 2026: Wasim Sadiq Nargal, Judge of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and Administrative Judge for Bandipora, on Monday visited the newly constructed Court Complex in Bandipora to review judicial infrastructure and functioning.

On arrival, Justice Nargal was received by Jeema Bashir, Indu Kanwal Chib, senior judicial officers, police अधिकारियों, and members of the Bar Association.

During the visit, the Administrative Judge assessed the facilities at the newly built complex and emphasized the crucial role of district judiciary in ensuring effective justice delivery at the grassroots level. He noted that while the infrastructure is a significant step forward, the complex is yet to be fully operational.

Directing immediate action, Justice Nargal instructed concerned authorities to complete the shifting process within one week and address all pending requirements on priority through coordinated efforts.

Highlighting key priorities, he stressed the need for strengthening judicial infrastructure, adopting modern technology, ensuring timely disposal of cases, and maintaining fairness, sensitivity, and efficiency in judicial functioning. He also underscored the vital role of the Bar in supporting the courts and called for enhanced professional responsibility and cooperation.

The visiting judge also interacted with judicial officers, members of the Bar, and civil and police administration to review issues related to court functioning and infrastructure gaps.

Representing the Bar, Sofi Feroz raised concerns regarding basic amenities, facilities for litigants and lawyers, and the need for full operationalisation of the court complex. He also demanded the establishment of a Consumer Court and further strengthening of judicial infrastructure in the district.

The visit reflects a continued push towards improving access to justice and modernising court infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir.
