SRINAGAR, May 18, 2026 : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Khazir Mohammad Sheikh, father of Member of Parliament Er. Rashid and MLA Khursheed Ahmad Sheikh.
Khazir Mohammad Sheikh passed away at All India Institute of Medical Sciences after a prolonged illness. He was 85 years old.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
He also prayed for strength and courage to the family members to bear the irreparable loss.
