SRINAGAR, May 19, 2026 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday ordered a fresh administrative reshuffle across the Union Territory, transferring and posting several IAS and JKAS officers with immediate effect.
According to Government Order No. 938-JK(GAD) of 2026 issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Anil Banka, who was serving as Special Secretary to the Government in the Finance Department, has been transferred and posted as Director, Industries and Commerce, Kashmir.
Similarly, Mahima Madan, Additional Secretary to the Government in the Information Technology Department, has been appointed as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua.
The order further stated that Asha Choudhary Malhotra, who was awaiting adjustment in the General Administration Department, has been posted as Chief Executive Officer of JaKeGA.
She will also hold the additional charge of Director, Defence Labour Procurement, Jammu and Kashmir, until further orders.
Meanwhile, Mohd. Raiyaz, presently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment, has been transferred and posted as Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Karnah-Tangdhar against an available vacancy.
Officials said the transfers and postings have been ordered with immediate effect under the directions of the Lieutenant Governor.
The reshuffle is part of the government’s ongoing administrative measures aimed at streamlining governance and strengthening departmental functioning across Jammu and Kashmir.
