Budgam, July 11, 2025 : In a major blow to drug trafficking networks, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), Kashmir recovered a large quantity of poppy straw (fukki) during a targeted operation in Wahabpora, Budgam.
Acting on precise intelligence inputs, ANTF personnel conducted a well-coordinated raid, seizing the contraband hidden to evade detection. The accused, identified as Farooq Ahmad Teli, son of Mohammad Subhan and resident of Suranhal Batpora, Budgam, was arrested on the spot.
A case under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at ANTF Kashmir, and further investigations are underway to trace the wider supply network.
The operation reflects the J&K Police’s zero-tolerance policy against narcotics and reiterates ANTF’s commitment to dismantling drug syndicates operating in the region.
