Srinagar, Jul 17, 2025 : Continuing its crackdown on the separatist-terror ecosystem, Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday conducted a search operation at the residence of Abid Nabi Kachroo, a resident of Badam Bagh, Sopore, in north Kashmir.
The search was carried out in connection with an FIR registered in 2024 under Sections 10 and 13 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for Kachroo’s alleged links with the banned outfit Muslim League.
Police officials confirmed that incriminating material related to the proscribed group was recovered and seized during the operation. The search was conducted in the presence of magistrates and independent witnesses, following due legal procedures.
“This action is part of Sopore Police’s ongoing efforts to identify and lawfully act against individuals engaged in separatist activities or threats to national security,” the statement said.
