JAMMU, July 28, 2025 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday confirmed the elimination of three Pakistani terrorists in an encounter near Dachigam, Srinagar, and said that intensive kinetic operations have been ongoing for several months across Jammu and Kashmir to root out terrorism.
“It’s true — three Pakistani terrorists have been neutralized near Dachigam. The police will issue further details,” LG Sinha told reporters during an official function in Jammu.
He highlighted the coordinated efforts of the J&K Police, Army, and CRPF, stating that numerous counter-terror operations have been underway to ensure lasting peace in the region.
“Some operations make headlines, but many save lives quietly. I wholeheartedly congratulate the security forces involved in this successful mission,” he said.
The LG reaffirmed the government’s determination to eliminate Pakistan-sponsored terrorism from J&K:
“For decades, Pakistan-backed terrorism has inflicted pain on this land. Our forces are now fully committed to destroying every last trace of it so that we can finally breathe in peace.”
A detailed statement on the encounter is expected from the police shortly.
