NEW DELHI, July 28, 2025: Veteran Bollywood actor Sunny Deol recently met Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama during his visit to Ladakh, describing the experience as both humbling and unforgettable.
Sharing a photograph of their meeting on Instagram, the 67-year-old actor wrote:
“A moment of deep honour and gratitude. Met His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, during my journey through the serene landscapes of Ladakh. His presence, wisdom, and blessings filled my heart with peace. Truly unforgettable.”
The post has since received widespread appreciation from fans and fellow celebrities.
On the work front, Sunny Deol has wrapped up shooting for “Border 2”, the much-anticipated sequel to the 1997 war drama “Border”, directed by J. P. Dutta. The original film, based on the 1971 India-Pakistan war, was a massive box-office success, grossing over ₹60 crore worldwide.
“Border 2” features a star-studded cast including Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, and is being directed by Anurag Singh. The film is slated for release on January 23, 2026, and is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J. P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta.
Deol is also set to appear in “Lahore 1947”, co-starring Preity Zinta. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film is produced under Aamir Khan Productions.
