Udhampur, August 8, 2025 : In a continued crackdown on drug trafficking, police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district on Friday attached a bank account and seized a motorcycle belonging to an alleged drug peddler.
The action was taken under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act against Vikrant Sharma, a resident of Chabutra Bazar. Officials said a Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle and a bank account containing ₹7.17 lakh—both deemed disproportionate to his known sources of income—were identified as illegally acquired assets and accordingly attached.
Police reaffirmed their commitment to eliminating the drug menace from the region and assured strict action against those involved in narcotic-related activities.
