SRINAGAR, August 18, 2025 : Following recent cloudburst incidents, the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has directed all Chief Education Officers and Heads of Institutions to enforce strict safety measures to safeguard students and staff during adverse weather.
The advisory urges extra vigilance in disaster-prone areas and mandates precautionary steps for schools located near rivers, streams, and lakes. These include regular monitoring of water levels, well-practiced evacuation drills, and close coordination with disaster management authorities.
