Jammu, August 18, 2025 : The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir has deputed four senior IAS and four IPS officers to Chashoti in Kishtwar district to supervise the ongoing relief and rescue operations following the devastating cloudburst.
According to an official order, the officers will monitor operations on a roster basis from August 19 to 26.

August 19–20: Chandraker Bharti (Principal Secretary, Home) and Uttam Chand (IGP, Operations & Services)

August 21–22: Anil Kumar Singh (Principal Secretary, Public Works) and Sujit Kumar (IGP, Security)

August 23–24: Shaleen Kabra (Financial Commissioner, Jal Shakti) and M. Suleman Choudhary (IGP, Traffic)

August 25–26: Shahid Iqbal Choudhary (Secretary, Science & Technology) and Vivek Gupta (IGP, Railways)
The deputed officers will directly oversee rescue measures, ensure coordination among agencies, and review relief arrangements for the affected population.
