Budgam, September 17, 2025 : Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Abdul Rahim Rather, today inaugurated the much-awaited macadamization works on the crucial Chadoora-Brenwar Road, aimed at significantly improving connectivity and local infrastructure in the region.
During the ceremony, Speaker Rather underscored the government’s strong commitment to upgrading rural infrastructure, stating,
“This road is a lifeline for the people of this area. Its macadamization will not only end the long-standing difficulties faced by residents but will also act as a catalyst for overall development.”
He further highlighted the broader impact of the project, noting that improved connectivity will foster economic growth, easier access to healthcare facilities, local markets, and better quality of life for the community.
The Executive Engineer, PMGSY, assured that the work would be completed within a strict timeframe of 20 days. The 9.90-kilometer road project, at an estimated cost of ₹2.15 crores, is designed to provide a smooth and safe travel experience for commuters, farmers, and local businesses.
