JAMMU, July 30, 2025 : Authorities have announced the suspension of the Amarnath Yatra from Jammu on July 31 due to adverse weather conditions along the route.
“In view of inclement weather, no pilgrim convoy will be allowed to move from Bhagwati Nagar base camp towards Baltal and Nunwan on Thursday,” said Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar.
He stated that heavy rains in the yatra areas have disrupted movement from the base camps in Kashmir. Pilgrims will be kept updated on further developments.
Despite the weather, over 3.93 lakh devotees have so far paid obeisance at the holy cave. Earlier on Wednesday, another batch of 1,300 pilgrims left Jammu for the twin base camps.
