Jammu, December 8, 2025 : Amid heightened security concerns in the militancy-affected Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, a senior Army commander on Monday directed troops to maintain a firm, alert and consistent approach in counter-terror operations.
The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Army’s White Knight Corps, Lieutenant General P. K. Mishra, issued these instructions during his visit to Gandoh, a strategically sensitive hilly area of the district. The visit was aimed at assessing the prevailing security situation, reviewing operational preparedness and evaluating the overall counter-insurgency posture of the forces deployed in the region.
Lt Gen Mishra was accompanied by the General Officer Commanding of Counter-Insurgency Force (Delta), Major General A. P. S. Bal.
According to an official statement shared by the Army’s White Knight Corps (16 Corps) on social media platform X, the Corps Commander encouraged the troops to remain alert, adopt forward-looking measures, and sustain a firm and consistent approach in counter-terrorist operations.
“He also emphasised the importance of maintaining the highest standards of professionalism in every mission,” the Army said.
The senior commander urged the personnel to remain vigilant, confident and fully prepared to respond to any emerging security challenges with clarity, speed and determination. He also lauded the dedication and commitment of the troops deployed in tough terrain and hostile operational conditions.
The visit reflects the Army’s continued focus on maintaining pressure on terror networks and ensuring robust security architecture in the militancy-prone regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
