📍 Anupgarh/Jaipur, October 3, 2025 : In a blunt warning to Pakistan, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi on Friday said Islamabad must end its policy of sponsoring terrorism if it wishes to “retain its place on the world map.” He declared that unlike during Operation Sindoor 1.0, India would not exercise restraint in the event of another confrontation.
“This time, India is fully prepared. We will move a step forward and act in a way that makes Pakistan reconsider its survival on the world map,” Gen. Dwivedi told soldiers at Anupgarh in Rajasthan’s Sriganganagar district.
Operation Sindoor: Evidence Against Pakistan
The Army Chief said India had already exposed terrorist hideouts across the border during Operation Sindoor, following the April 22 Pahalgam attack.
“Had we not unearthed this evidence, Pakistan would have erased all traces of its terror bases,” he added.
He revealed that the Indian Army and Air Force had struck nine terror-linked targets inside Pakistan during the operation, carefully choosing only militant facilities to avoid civilian harm.
Call for Preparedness & Border Unity
Urging troops to remain fully prepared, Gen. Dwivedi remarked:
“Stay combat-ready — the opportunity may come soon.”
He also lauded the resilience of border residents, calling them an integral part of national defense.
“We consider the border population not ordinary civilians but soldiers standing shoulder to shoulder with us. Their spirit boosts our morale, just as it did in 1965 and 1971,” he said.
