Srinagar, September 24, 2025 : Banihal MLA Sajjad Shaheen and Budhal MLA Javid Iqbal on Tuesday called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at the Civil Secretariat to discuss key developmental issues concerning their constituencies.
An official statement said the legislators sought government intervention on pressing public needs and underlined the importance of timely redressal to ensure equitable development.
The Chief Minister assured them that their concerns would be duly examined and appropriate steps initiated to promote balanced growth across all regions.
Meanwhile, the Union Bank of India extended support to the ongoing flood relief operations in J&K by contributing ₹1 crore. The cheque was formally handed over to CM Omar Abdullah at the Civil Secretariat.
Expressing gratitude, the Chief Minister appreciated the gesture, noting that such contributions would significantly aid relief and rehabilitation measures.
“Collective efforts from institutions and individuals play a vital role in helping the Union Territory recover from the calamity,” the CM said.
