Srinagar, January 26, 2026 : SUO Arpun Deep Kour of 3 J&K Battalion NCC, Baramulla, has been conferred the prestigious Raksha Mantri Padak during the ongoing Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026 in New Delhi, in recognition of her exemplary service, discipline and unwavering commitment to duty.
According to details, the award was presented by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in appreciation of her outstanding contribution during Operation Sindoor. During the operation, Arpun Deep Kour played a pivotal role in coordinating and executing relief activities in Baramulla district, extending timely assistance to the displaced population from border villages of North Kashmir.
Her efforts ensured that relief and support reached those in need with compassion, dignity and efficiency, reflecting exceptional leadership under challenging circumstances. Her selfless service stood as a true embodiment of discipline, teamwork, humanitarian values and the spirit of ‘Nation First’, often at the cost of her own comfort.
Officials noted that her impeccable conduct, patience, sincerity and dedication to noble causes have served as a powerful source of inspiration for fellow NCC cadets, motivating them to contribute positively towards nation-building.
Through her remarkable contribution, SUO Arpun Deep Kour has not only upheld but also enhanced the prestige of the National Cadet Corps, bringing pride to Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, and the entire Kashmir Valley.
