BJP celebrates “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, felicitates Goa, INA Freedom Fighters, other unsung heroes
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu & Kashmir celebrated the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” programme at BJP headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
J&K BJP also felicitated Goa & INA Freedom Fighters as well as other unsung heroes of society on the occasion.
Former Dy. CM Dr. Nirmal Singh & Kavinder Gupta, former Minister Sat Sharma, former Minister Devinder Singh Rana, former MLC Ramesh Arora, former MLC Ajay Bharti, Spokesperson Abhijeet Jasrotia and other senior party leaders participated in the programme which was organized under the guidance of BJP Library Incharge & “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” programme Incharge Prof. Kulbhushan Mohtra.
Pertinent to note that the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” campaign was kickstarted by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 12 March 2021 by flagging off the Padyatra from Sabarmati Ashram on 12 March 1930.
Dr. Nirmal Singh, while addressing said that on August 15, 2022, 75 years of the country’s independence are being completed. Keeping this in mind, a year before the 75th anniversary i.e. from 15th August 2021, the programs of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ started in which cultural programs showing the celebration of indomitable spirit were also organized. These programs will continue till August 15, 2023.
Kavinder Gupta, while addressing said that the five pillars of the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi means in depth analysis of 75 years, achievements on 75, action on 75 and resolutions on 75 which will encourage us to materialize the visions and dreams of Independent India. He said that the nation is celebrating the nectar festival of freedom and our dream of creating a global India is the collective resolve of 130 crore Indians.
Sat Sharma said that the elixir of freedom means the elixir of energy. The nectar festival of freedom means the elixir of new flowers, the elixir of new resolutions. The nectar festival of freedom means the nectar of self-realization.

Bharat Bhushan Sharma received the honour on behalf of Atma Ram Sharma.
Freedom fighters of INA. Deepkia Rana KAS Spl. Secretary Govt. of J&K Housing Department received the honour on behalf of Lt. Col. Narain Singh. Sukhdev Singh received the honour on behalf of S.N.K. Uttain Singh. Hardev Singh received the honour on behalf of late Agrag Singh. Raj Singh received the honour on behalf of Late Balwant Singh. Sukhminder Singh received the honour on behalf of S. Gain Singh. Surinder Singh received the honour on behalf of Jamedar Prakash Singh (Victoria Cross). Similar programmes were held in the organizational Districts of Kathua, Samba, Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur, Doda and Kishtwar.
