SRINAGAR, November 20, 2025 : A senior BJP leader on Thursday urged Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to organise an all-party anti-terrorism rally at Lal Chowk, calling for a united stand against terrorism across the Union Territory.
BJP spokesman Altaf Thakur said that at a time when terror attacks continue to claim innocent lives, political differences must be set aside to send a strong message of unity.
“We urge the Chief Minister to lead an all-party anti-terrorism rally at Lal Chowk, Srinagar. It’s time to move beyond condemnations and condolences,” Thakur said in an official statement.
He emphasised that every citizen of J&K must stand together against terrorism, adding that unity across parties, communities, and regions is essential to restore peace and dignity in the Valley.
“Political differences can wait — the fight against terror cannot. Let all parties, communities and citizens walk shoulder to shoulder for peace,” he said.
Thakur reiterated that terrorism has no religion or region, and a powerful unified voice from Lal Chowk would echo nationwide, strengthening the collective resolve for a terror-free Jammu and Kashmir.
His remarks come in the wake of the November 10 car explosion in Delhi, which claimed 15 lives and reignited concerns over terror activities.
