Chandigarh, August 4, 2025 : The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has named Rachna Jindal as the new Regional Director for its Northern Region, headquartered in Chandigarh. In her new role, Jindal will oversee CII’s operations across several key states and union territories, including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and the UTs of Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh.
With nearly two decades of experience at CII since joining in 2006, Jindal brings deep institutional knowledge and leadership expertise. She began her journey in the Central Trade Fairs division, where she played a crucial role in organizing major national and international exhibitions such as Auto Expo, IMME, IREE, and Enterprise India, significantly enhancing India’s global trade presence.
More recently, she spearheaded a strategic collaboration with NITI Aayog, focusing on the digital transformation of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)—a nationwide initiative aimed at boosting productivity and competitiveness in the sector.
On her new appointment, Jindal said, “The Northern Region is a key driver of India’s economic growth. I’m eager to collaborate with state governments, industry leaders, and CII’s central team to further our mission of inclusive and sustainable development.”
She succeeds Prashant AN, the outgoing Regional Director for the Northern Region.
