Srinagar, September 9, 2025 : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah paid solemn tributes to the two brave soldiers martyred in the ongoing Kulgam encounter. The CM attended the wreath-laying ceremony, remembering their supreme sacrifice and unwavering courage.
In an official post on X, the Office of J&K CM stated:
“Their exemplary courage, unwavering valour, and ultimate sacrifice will be eternally remembered with deep respect and gratitude.”
The Chief Minister also expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, affirming that the nation stands united with them in this time of grief.
The encounter began on Monday morning in Gudder area of Kulgam after an intelligence input regarding terrorist movement, leading to fierce gunfire. Two terrorists were killed, and three army jawans, including a JCO, were injured—two of whom succumbed to their injuries.
