JAMMU, November 25, 2025 : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today chaired a high-level review meeting at the Civil Secretariat to assess progress on key infrastructure projects being executed by the Revenue Department across Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting began with a detailed presentation by the Secretary Revenue, who outlined the status of 18 major building projects, including tehsil and niabat offices, residential quarters, mini-secretariats, and integrated revenue complexes. These projects—spread across Ramban, Kathua, Poonch, Doda, Udhampur, Reasi, Bandipora, Anantnag, Pulwama, and Srinagar—are central to strengthening administrative infrastructure and enhancing grassroots governance.

The Chief Minister stressed the urgent need to fast-track the remaining works. He directed the concerned departments to:
-
Adopt a coordinated mechanism for clearing pending approvals
-
Resolve land and legal impediments without delay
-
Synchronize financial planning with execution timelines to avoid cost escalation
-
Ensure strict adherence to project deadlines
-
Strengthen monitoring to ensure field-level accountability
Reiterating the government’s commitment to creating a modern, citizen-friendly revenue administration, Omar Abdullah said timely completion of these infrastructure projects is vital for improving revenue services, public access, and overall governance efficiency. He assured full government support to ensure uninterrupted progress.
