KULGAM/TRAL, November 19, 2025 : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday visited the families of two victims who tragically lost their lives in the accidental explosion at Nowgam Police Station, extending condolences and reaffirming government support during this difficult time.
Emotional Visit to Chancer, Kulgam
The Chief Minister first travelled to Chancer village in Kulgam, where he met the family of Late Arshid Ahmad Shah. Offering heartfelt sympathies, he described the incident as deeply unfortunate and assured the family that the administration stands with them in their hour of grief.
He further stated that the government is committed to providing every possible support and assistance to help affected families cope with the tragic loss.
Condolence Meeting in Hariparigam, Tral
Later, the Chief Minister visited Hariparigam in Tral, where he met the family of Late Javid Mansoor Rather, another victim of the Nowgam blast. Omar Abdullah spent time with the bereaved relatives, conveying solidarity and emotional support.
He told the family that words may not heal the pain of losing a loved one, but the government remains fully dedicated to ensuring that they receive all necessary help going forward.
