Srinagar, October 25, 2025 : Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo on Saturday chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations for the upcoming 2nd Edition of the Kashmir Marathon, scheduled to be held on November 2, 2025, in Srinagar.

The Chief Secretary described the marathon as a marquee event that reflects the growing synergy between tourism and sports in Jammu and Kashmir. He said the first edition had received an overwhelming response and set new benchmarks for sporting events in the region.

Dulloo emphasized that participation from runners across India and abroad would further reinforce Kashmir’s image as a premier destination for leisure, adventure, and sports tourism.

Focus on Coordination and Infrastructure

Calling for seamless inter-departmental coordination, Dulloo directed officials to ensure foolproof arrangements related to transportation, accommodation, medical facilities, sanitation, and security.

He instructed the Traffic Department to design a comprehensive management plan, including diversions and advance travel advisories, to ensure both public safety and participant convenience.

“The aim is to provide a memorable experience to every participant — one that reflects Kashmir’s famed hospitality and organizational excellence in hosting large-scale international events,” Dulloo said.

Tourism and Culture Integration
