SRINAGAR, November 6, 2025 : Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Nalin Prabhat, IPS, chaired a high-level security review meeting at the Conference Hall of PCR Kashmir to assess the prevailing security situation in the Valley and devise strategies to further strengthen the security and intelligence grid.
At the outset, participating officers briefed the DGP on the current security scenario, operational preparedness, and recent developments in their respective jurisdictions.
The DGP conducted a comprehensive review of existing arrangements and issued strategic directives to enhance coordination, field efficiency, and responsiveness across all levels.
Emphasizing the need for advanced surveillance and proactive field engagement, DGP Prabhat directed officers to establish dynamic and surprise nakas at strategic and vulnerable locations to ensure greater area domination and deterrence against subversive elements.
He called for seamless inter-district coordination and real-time information sharing to improve operational synergy and ensure swift response to emerging situations.
Underscoring the importance of operational agility, the DGP directed districts to reinforce Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) with enhanced mobility, upgraded training, and modern equipment. He also emphasized the modernization of communication networks to guarantee secure and uninterrupted connectivity between all field units.
DGP Prabhat reiterated the significance of professionalism, public cooperation, and people-friendly policing, while maintaining the highest standards of vigilance and readiness.

Gillani, IGP Kashmir Zone, IG CRPF (KOS), IG CRPF (Srinagar Sector), range DIsG of J&K, DIG SSB Srinagar, DIsG CRPF (South & North Srinagar), all District SSsP of Kashmir Zone, SSP PCR Kashmir, SP PC Srinagar, and other senior officers.
