Jammu, July 18, 2025: Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar and Inspector General of Police Bhim Sen Tuti reviewed preparations for the Shri Budha Amarnathji Yatra 2025, aiming to ensure its smooth and secure conduct.
A high-level meeting was held in Jammu with the participation of senior officers including DIG CRPF, DIG JSK Range, DIG Rajouri-Poonch, Deputy Commissioners and SSPs from Jammu, Poonch, Rajouri, and Reasi, as well as heads of departments such as JPDCL, Tourism, Health, PWD, Jal Shakti, BRO, and Traffic Police. Representatives from civil society also attended and shared constructive suggestions.
The first batch of pilgrims will leave Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu on July 28, heading towards Tehsil Mandi, Poonch in a regulated and secure convoy.
Key directions issued during the meeting include:

Help desks and registration counters at Bhagwati Nagar and Jammu Railway Station.

Deputy Commissioners of Rajouri and Poonch to ensure proper accommodation with electricity, drinking water, langars, mobile toilets, parking, and waterproof tents.

Tourism Department to promote the Yatra through hoardings and media from Lakhanpur to Poonch.

BRO to maintain roads and clear debris along the Jammu–Poonch highway.

JPDCL to ensure uninterrupted power with backup generators.

Jal Shakti (PHE) to supply drinking water at all halt points and the temple.

PWD to complete repairs on the Poonch–Mandi road.

Traffic Police to manage convoy parking and flow.

Reasi Administration to facilitate pilgrims also visiting Shri Shiv Khori Shrine during the Yatra.
The IGP Jammu emphasized strict adherence to convoy schedules and called for public awareness campaigns to ensure pilgrims travel only with the official convoy for safety.
The meeting concluded with valuable input from civil society, reaffirming collective efforts for the peaceful and successful conduct of the annual pilgrimage.
