Kupwara, August 21, 2025 : A mild earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale struck Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday afternoon.
According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the tremor was recorded at 1:41 pm at a depth of 5 km, with coordinates 34.68°N, 74.39°E.
NCS confirmed the details in a post on X, noting Kupwara as the epicenter. No immediate reports of damage or casualties were received.
