Srinagar, October 16, 2025 : The BJP on Thursday criticized the Omar Abdullah-led NC government, calling its first year in office a “year of exemplary failure”.
BJP spokesperson Altaf Thakur said the government’s tenure was marked by broken promises and public distress, dubbing it “Ek Saal Nakami Ki Misaal”. He accused Abdullah of misleading the people with a false manifesto and empty assurances.
Thakur highlighted unfulfilled promises, including 12 free LPG cylinders, 10 kg of monthly ration, 200 units of free electricity, and one lakh jobs within six months. He claimed the NC government prioritized self-praise and PR exercises over addressing the people’s struggles with skyrocketing prices, power cuts, and unemployment.
“Instead of solving real issues, they celebrate fake anniversaries of failure. This government has lost the moral authority to govern,” Thakur said, adding that the NC thrives on photo opportunities while basic governance, particularly power supply accountability, remains ignored.
