Srinagar, January 17, 2026 : The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Crime Branch Kashmir has unearthed a major employment fraud, booking a former police employee for allegedly cheating multiple job aspirants by falsely promising government jobs and issuing forged appointment orders.
According to an official statement, the case was registered after the EOW, Srinagar received a written complaint alleging that the accused fraudulently collected nearly ₹23 lakh from innocent job seekers on the pretext of securing government employment.
