Ramban, July 2, 2025: The Ramban District Administration extended a warm and grand welcome to the first batch of Shri Amarnath Yatra pilgrims at a prominent langar site in Chanderkote, showcasing both hospitality and heightened security preparedness.
The welcome ceremony was attended by top officials including DIG Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range Shridhar Patil, MLA Ramban Arjun Singh Raju, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, SSP Ramban Kulbir Singh, and SSP Traffic NHW Raja Adil Hamid.
Speaking at the occasion, MLA Arjun Singh Raju praised the administration’s efforts, stating:
“The meticulous arrangements made by the Ramban Administration are commendable. This smooth and secure start to the Yatra sends a strong message against terrorism. The successful management of the Yatra is a resounding reply to the cowardly attack in Pahalgam.”
He added that the region has risen with unity, resolve, and devotion, ensuring a safe and spiritually uplifting journey for the pilgrims.
Pilgrims expressed gratitude for the hospitality, food, and seamless arrangements, as they paused at Chanderkote before continuing their sacred journey to the cave shrine of Shri Amarnath Ji.
The event marks a significant milestone in this year’s Yatra, underlining J&K’s commitment to peace, security, and spiritual harmony.
